Essay on Air Pollution for Students and Children in 800 Words

In this article, we have published an Essay on Air pollution for Students in 850 Words with Its Facts, Causes, Effects, and Control Ideas.

Introduction (Essay on Air Pollution)

Air Pollution is environmental pollution that affects the air and usually caused by smoke or other harmful gases, mainly oxides of carbon, sulphur, and nitrogen.  Air pollution is the contamination of air because of the presence of a substance that has a poisonous effect.

Facts about Air Pollution

  1. Resources of air pollution on the world stage: The major contribution of humanity is by burning of fossil fuels with coal & oil.  The humankind shares through factories, power plants, automobiles, industry, air transport, chemicals, fumes from the spray, and methane gas from landfills.
  2. U.S. Air pollution: It is registered as an increase of 15% more in the year 2017 & 18, which is compared to 2013-16.  The contribution of Air pollution in the country is mainly because of the growth of the economy, wildfires and global warming. The types of Air pollution are two kinds of natural and human-made sources.
  3. Air pollution in India: It is divided into indoor and outdoor, indoor sources are tobacco, smoke from solid fuels with inefficient and traditional stoves. Most free is transport, energy waste, buildings, and agriculture — India’s contribution to Air pollution Largely from tobacco smoke and traditional stores, which are from home.
  4. Air pollution from the industrial sector; they are industries producing SO2 and NO2 were the chief sources from the Mathura-based petroleum refinery is causing a threat to Taj Mahal.
  5. Cement factories emit plenty of dust; stone crushing creates havoc in generating Air pollution. Another threat to air safety is food and fertiliser industries, which emits acid vapours in the environments.
  6. Thermal power stations are the chief contributor is NTPC in four coal-based power plants, they are Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, Korba in Chhattisgarh, Ramagundam in Telangana and Farakka in West Bengal which consumes million tons.
  7. The emittance is fly ash, which is a significant threat to the environment and disposal of a critical threat, to the environment and disposal. Its disposal is also a significant threat. NTPC is trying hard to dispose of the fly ash through brick industries, cement industries, landfills & fertiliser industry.
  8. The automobile industry is exhausting toxins in the air. The increase in vehicular traffic density is a significant threat with 300 million cars, trucks, and buses running on roads. India has a massive user of two-wheelers, and the hare is half the percentage of automobile base pollution.

Causes of Air Pollution

Using fossil fuels like oil, natural gas & coal release CO2, methane, and nitrogen into the atmosphere.

The cause of smog, acid rain, and the greenhouse effect is the source of Air pollution. This also refers to the rising temperature by sun energy. By blocking its energy, resulting from raising in earth’s temperatures.

Agricultural activities and emissions fertilisers and livestock are responsible for anthropogenic particulate matter exhaust from factories.

Exhaust from factories and industries are CO2, hydrocarbons, organic compounds, and chemicals in the air, petrochemicals industries are also air & land pollution.

Mining operations like drilling, blasting, hauling, collection and transportation are significant emissions, dust and coal particles in mining and the transport is causing respiratory problems to humans.

Transport leads to Greenhouse gas emissions for the urban folks.  The source is 20% to 70% of the total pollution mix.

Waste is the primary source which includes livestock, rice paddies, and the burning of agricultural waste.

Effects of Air Pollution

The effects of polluted air causing respiratory and heart problems include respiratory symptoms, irritation, coughing, or difficulty breathing.

The decrease in lung function is a regular feature.  Global warming through erupting volcanoes, earthquakes, dust storms and meteorites are smashing into the earth’s crust.

Acid rain is a significant risk for human health, sulphur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides, causing irritation and damage to lungs.

Effect on wildlife despite their size, population, and even humans may be affected and depletion of ozone air is over 80% of the total ozone layer because of chlorofluorocarbons and volatile organic compounds.

How to Control Air Pollution?

Solutions to curb

By using public transport like trains, trams, buses and carpooling We can provide relief from traffic congestion, carpooling and also reduce It from road transportations.

Conserving energy leads to fewer power plants in operation and tap natural energy resources. To adapt the concept of reducing, reuse, and recycle by the change in our daily life by reducing waste, reuse, and recycle the waste controls of air pollution.

More emphasis to use natural energy resources and energy-efficient devices to curb air pollution menace.

India’s initiatives to curb

The growth of urban establishments and cities is the key of Air pollution, to overcome the decentralisation of development in all the areas, taping the natural resources in our approach and public awareness and participation are highly promoted personally and publicly.

It has reached dangerous levels and affecting the uses of plants and animals.  To get together the world helps in controlling and establish industrial estates away from residential areas to promote the use of non-lead agents in the gas and replantation with the positive sides to curb the dire situation.
